Malysia Fieldtrip

yepp,i'm back from e 4D/3N Malaysia Fieldtrip with e school!wad can i say?it was simply great.right, let me tellya wad happened e past four days..

Day 1
I arrived in schoool ard 6.30 with many of my frens there already.Boy,i felt so excited. We were then given e 'White Card' to fill in before boarding e bus which drove us to the Malaysia checkpoint where we changed to the Malaysia bus. We made our way up to Cameron Highlands with stops in between(according to Duke, it was abt a toilet break every hour) We visited some places on our way up too. For instance, we went to visit the Orang Asli Village located on the hill. They live a very simple life with all they needed provided by the jungle. The Malaysia govt tried to mmove them to e city, but alas,it proved in vain. They were simply too contented with their stress-free life there. It then dawned on me that money can't buy happiness. We ppl living in e city are too obsessed with money but nvr thought that money can nvr buy happiness and family. Then we stopped buy some tea plantation where some of us bought some hot tea to drink cos of e cold weather. We proceeded with our journey and finally reached e hotel, Century PInes Resort. It was quite nice.We had steamboat dinner and well, some ouseflies accompanied us for dinner and some jus counldnt resist it and were found in e soup base!!We then got our cards to our hotel room,it has no aircon as it was cooling near e top of e hill.In fact,it was warmer in e room.We then went to the pasar malam.Bought some souvenirs there before returning back to e hotel for debrief.(boring!)

Day 2

aFter breakfast,we went to visit the BOH tea plantation where we were told how the tea were processed.it was a very bumpy(and scary??) ride to e plantation but lotsa beatiful scenery on e way. Then we visited the strawberry farm while waiting for e others to come back from the tea plantation.Went for lunch and visited the rose centre. To me,the roses aint very nice cos they were all fully bloomed and i thik it looks awful??gee..prefer roses that arent fully bloomed, looks much nicer.haha!!We travelled down to KL with lotsa fun.haha..the guys in my bus were playing cards(isnt it lame??)gee..had dinner at tg karang and was supposed to see fireflies there but due to e low tide,it was cancelled and postponed to the third night.took us more than an hour to travel back to KL where our hotel is located.and yep, that's basically all for e second day.

Day 3
After breakfast,e had city tour in KL.Went to shop in the shopping centre near chow kit street(think that is their chinatown). There wasnt much things though cos most of the shops were still closed. So yea,we while our time away there and bought more souvenirs for friends. After lunch,we went to the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia a.k.a FRIM. We had a wonderful and very not-serious serious talk by one of e ppl there,Mr Jafar.Learnt more abt the forest and e preventive measures taken. Before we began our walk in the forest,we looked at this really big fish in the pond which was easily conned by the clapping sounds of the human(clap clap clap) cos it think that food is coming..The was isnt realy tough but because this girl was so active, she jumped and sprained her ankle(shant say who..=P)so yea,i became her 'walking stick'..haha!By the time we ended our tour in FRIM it was near evening,so we travelled to tg karang for dinner after which we went to watch fireflies..=P oh and we saw lotsa stars too, unlike singapore,we really saw lots, much much much more than what we can see here.

Last Day
It was a bad start to end the last day cos two ppl from my bus were so late!!So we reached home late too.Anyway,we went to visit the tg karang irrigation scheme. i found it hard to decipher wad the speaker was saying and seriously felt like sleeping even though i was standing!well, cant blame him though cos english isnt his main language, but i tried though, and managed to understand bits here and there.and when we ask qn,i wonder if he did answer..=P right, shall stop being such a meanie.we went to see e padi fields and i learnt that when rice is unripe,it is actually green!!cos all along i thought that e moment rice grew,it was yellow..haha..stupid me..=P oh then,we saw e combine harvestor.it was really big and amazing.wanted to snap a picture of it but camera went nuts!!haha..had lucnh and went to see how rice was processed.a really dusty place with lots of big complexed machines.we we even saw e place where swallows build their nest so we get our bird nests..then we went to the oil palm plantation which was as complexed and complicated as the rice mill.we saw how the oil palms are processed, pressed, digested and sterilised.very amazing place.but i'm still blur though cos it was very noisy and couldnt hear wad the personm was trying to say.gee..well,basically this ends our trip to malaysia cos we started departing back to singapore after these visits.

Overall, this was a really amazing trip cos i learnt alot. we saw how the principles that we learnt for social studies were applied and had first hand experience on wad we learnt for geog.though i gotta say that our bus have lotsa mischievious ppl who seriously cant keep their mouth shut when ppl is talking.anyway, thanks to all those that made this trip a success..=)
